Homebuyers’ Survey and Valuation Reports Print
The RICS Homebuyers’ Survey and Valuation Report is the most common form of residential survey report commissioned during the sale and purchase of houses in England and Wales.   The report, which is prepared on a format controlled by the Royal Institution of Chartered  Surveyors (RICS), is suitable for conventionally built houses and flats of reasonable size and in fair or good apparent condition.   It is not well suited to particularly large, old or unusual properties. 

The RICS Homebuyers’ Survey and Valuation Report covers all the major structural elements of a property and includes a brief assessment of the services.   It also includes a Market Valuation and insurance valuation.

David Gregson has been preparing Homebuyers’ Surveys since their inception and has prepared several thousand during the course of his career.

As these reports include a valuation element, we are only able to accept instructions in areas where we have a substantial database of comparable evidence.   This can be briefly summarised as the M4 corridor through South Wales between Pencoed in the east and Llanelli and Ammanford in the west.   The postcode areas in which are operate are CF31 to CF36 and SA1 to SA18.

 

Homebuyers’ Surveys can normally be prepared at three days notice.   The cost of the survey is based on value and our current price list is as follows:

Value of the property not exceeding £150,000                £300 plus VAT

Value of the property not exceeding £250,000                £350 plus VAT

Value of the property over £250,000                              £400 plus VAT
