Expert Witness

David Gregson has been preparing Expert Witness reports for over twenty five years. He was admitted to membership of the Academy of Experts in 1999.
He has prepared many thousands of Expert Reports for use in Court proceedings on a wide variety of topics.
The duty of an Expert Witness is to provide a reasoned, honest and impartial opinion on the matter in dispute upon which any Court or Tribunal hearing the matter can rely.

Instructions to prepare Expert’s Reports normally originate from Solicitors acting for clients, although in certain circumstances instructions can be accepted directly from clients.
David Gregson has given evidence as an Expert Witness before all the major Courts and Tribunals in the country, including High Court, Crown Court, County Court, Lands Tribunal, Leasehold Valuation Tribunal.
The majority of our work is in respect of civil disputes, but reports are sometimes prepared in respect of criminal matters.

Environmental Expert Witness

David Gregson is a Chartered Environmentalist. In December 2008 he was admitted as one of the first accredited Expert Environmental Witnesses in the United Kingdom.
The qualification, which is a joint innovation between The Society For The Environment and The Academy of Experts, indicates that Mr. Gregson is able to act as an Expert Witness on environmental disputes requiring forensic investigation and analysis.
This is a developing area of law and commerce where it is envisaged the services of Expert Witnesses will become more common in the future.

Fees for work of this kind are quoted on an hourly rate, currently £140.00 per hour plus v.a.t.

Because an Expert Witness must be impartial it is not possible to accept work which is conditional on success of the claim.
